We have a number of managers and employes that go about there day and try and stop 5s because they think they are trying to down size because 5s inherently wants less of everything this is leading to a lot of road blocks. What are some of the road blocks your 5s projects hit and how did you get past them?
My issues with implementing 5S is having everyone participate from the entry level worker to the top management. What I have found to be useful is making sure everyone is clearly educated on what 5S is and its purpose. This can be done with training classes using visual aids like power points. Once everyone knows how important 5S is to them and the company it can effectively be utilized.
